MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After FOX13 exposed unsafe and unsanitary conditions at a complex in the Hollywood neighborhood, an out-of-state landlord plans to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in repairs.
“We’re doing this for the benefit of the tenants," said Lani Lester, the anti-blight litigation manager for the City of Memphis. "We can’t have people living in these conditions.”
Back in August, FOX13 drew attention to the human sewage, rats, cockroaches, overgrown weeds and plumbing issues at the complex.
