Two women are facing charges after quite the escapade through metro last night.
RNC on patrol in the centre city area spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen. When officers flashed the lights, the driver hit the gas and took off.
Police chased after the vehicle which came to a stop in the downtown area – well sort of.
The driver and passenger attempted to take off on foot, but did not get very far.
In her quest to escape, the 36-year-old behind the wheel left the car in drive, knocking over a stop sign and rolling into a parked car, causing minor damage.
The driver, who was already wanted by the RNC, has been charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime, failure to stop at an accident and resisting arrest.
