A person who was shot in Killingly on Monday night has died and police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.

State police said troopers responded to a residence on Pratt Road on Monday night and the victim had been shot in the chest and died.

A suspect is in custody, according to state police.

The Eastern District Major Crime Squad is investigating.
