BRAINERD — Several opportunities are available for Brainerd residents and business owners who want to become more involved in their city.

Seats are open on the following city committees and commissions:

Charter Commission — two terms expiring 2025, two terms expiring 2026.

Brainerd Public Library Board — one term expiring 2027.

Brainerd Public Utilities Commission — one term expiring 2028.

Transportation Advisory Committee — two terms expiring 2025, one term expiring 2026.

Water Tower Committee — two terms.

Terms expiring on Dec. 31 of the year specified.

Two additional seats are available on the Parks Board and the Economic Development Authority after the resignation of Paul Sandy, who will begin serving as Brainerd Public Utilities Director on Nov. 4.
