LEXINGTON, Ky. — One of Lexington's most dedicated leaders and mentors for young people celebrated a major milestone.
Norbert Luundo, who attends Lexington Middle School, came to the city in elementary school and quickly learned about the issues in his neighborhood.
"I came in; it was a bad place," Luundo said. " ... And now, I feel safe."
That's after two years of working with Lexington leaders and mentors such as Devine Carama, director of ONE Lexington , the city's youth gun violence prevention force and founder of youth program It Takes a Village .
“We talked about what we can do as good men and talk about what we should treat women, how we should be treated,” Luundo said.
