Caravel's first season in the top level of Delaware High School Football has hit a speed bump, as they will forfeit their game at Salesianum that was scheduled to be played on Halloween night.

The Bucs have suffered multiple injuries in the last few weeks, while playing with the smallest roster in Class 3A, Delaware's strongest class.

As of Tuesday morning, WDEL is still awaiting an official statement from Caravel about the decision.

The 2023 & 2024 Class 2A champions were promoted to Class 3A this season despite Caravel's objections about their roster and school size relative to the other teams at the top level.
