NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — The church in Newport where President John F. Kennedy married Jacqueline Kennedy in 1953 is now in need of major repairs.
In the past, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church has only held weddings for parishioners. The need for repairs comes as the church is opening its doors to let more people get married there.
Boston Globe columnist Dan McGowan joined Patrick Little on 12 News This Morning to share more details on the needed repairs and the recent changes.
