OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - Two people were arrested on Sunday as the result of an investigation in the Town of Westford.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Michael Fletcher, 42, and Michelle Bremner, 36, both of Westford, following an investigation originating from a request for a welfare check on three children at a residence.

Upon arrival, deputies located Fletcher and Bremner inside the home. During the initial stages of the investigation, Fletcher and Bremner provided the deputies with false information in an attempt to hide their true identities. Both Fletcher and Bremner had multiple active warrants for their arrest.

Following the discovery of their true identity, Fletcher and Bremner were taken into custody on the warrants.
