Vancouver measured 1.84 inches of rain since it began Friday and ended at noon Monday. Our monthly total stands at 3.64 inches, which is 0.85 of an inch above normal so far this month. We sure caught up in a hurry over the weekend. The cooler temperatures also brought our average mean temperature to half below normal. Are we on a roll?

Higher pressure built inland Monday but will give way Tuesday night to another weather system. This one is a quick-mover but a quarter-inch or more of rain was expected. We’ll have another break in the action Wednesday and Thursday before another soaking rain arrives on Halloween.
