FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Years of labor after a devastating loss are paying off for the owners of the Cressman's General Store near Shaver Lake.
The owner shared an image as the first wall went up on Monday, more than five years since the iconic business burned to the ground in the Creek Fire.
It was one of the hundreds of homes and buildings destroyed in what would become one of the largest wildfires in state history.
Action News has followed the journey of owner Ty Gillet and his family, as they've worked to rebuild following flames and setbacks.
The new documentary "Mountain Strong: Surviving the Creek Fire" is a comprehensive look at one of the state's most significant natural disasters and how a community is coming together to build from the ashes.
