U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra is officially entering the race for governor of Iowa.
Feenstra, a Republican who represents Iowa's 4th Congressional District, officially launched his campaign Tuesday. He had previously announced an exploratory committee in the spring .
The position opened up for Republican candidates after incumbent Gov. Kim Reynolds announced she would not seek a third term in 2026 .
Feenstra has already garnered support from high-profile Iowa Republicans , including U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst, U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Lt. Gov. Chris Cournoyer.
