INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a man died following a stabbing on Indianapolis' east side Tuesday morning.
The incident was reported around 10:45 a.m. Oct. 28 in the 1600 block of Englewood Drive , near East 16th Street and Shadeland Avenue.
Responding officers located a man who had been stabbed. He was transported in critical condition to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
On Oct. 29, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the man as 51-year-old Brian Eugene Wilburn.
IMPD Ofc. Tommy Thompson said the stabbing was an "isolated incident" that happened during a "family disturbance" inside a home.
