BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Multiple construction workers were taken to a New York City hospital after an on-site accident Tuesday morning, according to officials.
This accident comes just under a week after a construction worker fell more than 100 feet to their death in Manhattan.
Four construction workers fell roughly 32 feet to the "sub cellar level" after a partial collapse in the floor of a newly constructed 28-story building at 6208 8th Ave. while pouring concrete, a spokesperson of the Department of Buildings told PIX11 News.
The partial floor collapse was approximately 480 square feet, the spokesperson said. Officials did not say what could have caused the floor to collapse.
The construction workers were responsive when they were being taken to the hospital, officials said.
