A homeless thug who violently beat a pensioner after she gave him a 'roof over his head' has been locked up for life.
Jason Dyer repeatedly punched his victim after she had opened up her home to him.
The 54-year-old responded to her kindness by carrying out a 'despicable' attack inside her home in October 2024.
The victim, in her 70s, was left with 'life-altering' facial injuries.
Dyer confessed he had 'hit her', with his hands and knuckles covered in blood when the pensioner's carer came to check on her.

Dyer, of no fixed abode, admitted grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was jailed for life, with a minimum term of nine years and 241 days, at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday,
