OSSEO, Minn. — Osseo Area Schools was ordered to apologize to a 9-year-old student and pay them $61,500 after they were sexually harassed by the assistant principal.
The Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) announced the settlement agreement in a press release Tuesday. Osseo Area Schools agreed to send a written apology letter to the student and hold a listening session with them and their parents.
The Department of Human Rights shared that the assistant principal sexually harassed the 9-year-old student during the 2021-2022 school year. He inappropriately touched the student and told them he couldn't stop looking at her, according to the department's statement.
