FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - A Fond du Lac caretaker charged with child abuse appeared in court Tuesday.
Ashley Karschnick, 32, faces one count of child abuse recklessly causing harm.
Tuesday’s hearing mainly hashed out details of her bond. The defense argued to allow Karschnick the ability to go into public places where children are present, such as grocery stores.
The judge left the current bond conditions in place.
As we reported, Fond du Lac police started investigating on Oct. 13 after a 3-month-old baby at Lily Pad Day Care was sent to the hospital for a broken arm.
Police say they looked at security video from the day of the incident and aw Karschnick get frustrated and slam the baby into the crib, which caused the baby to scream.
