MESA, Ariz. — An East Valley teacher has been sentenced to more than a century in prison for crimes committed against two of his former juvenile students.
Cory Kapahulehua, 44, was recently sentenced to 187 years in an Arizona prison after he was convicted of several felony offenses of child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
The defendant had been an instructor at Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center in Mesa. A 14-year-old girl and 17-year-old girl reported being sexually abused by the teacher.
