SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Two Harvard University experts are coming to Springfield on Thursday, Oct. 30, to host a program for local leaders to learn more about emergency preparedness.

The City of Springfield, the Springfield Police Department, and the Springfield Fire Department have brought in two Harvard faculty members, Leonard Marcus, Ph.D., and Eric McNulty, M.A., to facilitate the Crisis Leadership Summit for Preparedness, which focuses on crisis management, disaster response and more.

The Crisis Leadership Summit for Preparedness is a national program developed by the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative (NPLI), a joint program of Harvard University’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Kennedy School of Government. Both Marcus and McNulty are members of NPLI.
