The Zoning Board of Appeal ruled today that ISD did nothing wrong in approving plans to convert an abandoned nursing home on Redlands Road in West Roxbury into housing for up to 120 people who would live there for at least a month as they try to get back on their feet and find more permanent housing.

Through their attorney, a number of neighbors had asked the board to overturn ISD's approval, claiming Making Opportunity Count (MOC) and the building's owners were actually planning to open a homeless shelter that would bring God knows what sort of people into the family neighborhood and that the proponents had submitted incorrect and even falsified documents to win ISD approval.
