A bag accidentally left behind in the lobby of a Westport hotel led to the arrest Monday of four area men on a host of drug charges and active warrants.

Police were called to the Hampton Inn at 53 Old Bedford Road just before 2 p.m. by an employee who found a bag of suspected drugs in the lobby, and suspected it was dropped by one of four men who had recently rented a room. When police arrived they checked the hotel’s security camera and saw the four looking for something around the lobby and in a trash receptacle.
