The Barrington High School girls tennis team is headed back to the Division I state championship match.
The Eagles defeated Moses Brown 4-1 on Monday afternoon, Oct. 27, in a semifinals showdown. The victory propelled Barrington into the Division I finals.
The Eagles will play the winner of the LaSalle-vs-East Greenwich match. The finals are set for either Saturday or Sunday, Nov. 1 or 2, at Slater Park in Pawtucket.
In the semifinals, Barrington’s singles players went 3-0. Addison Friedman, playing in the number one singles spot, defeated Moses Brown’s Ella Bergeron, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Barrington’s number two singles player, Charlotte Byon, defeated the Quakers’ Sofia Mikulasek, 6-2, 6-1, and the Eagles’ Charlotte Hunter, playing at number four singles, defeated Moses Brown’s Ava Pereira,
