BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- In recognition of Domestic Violence month, the Kern County Family Justice Center is hosting various safety workshops throughout Kern County.
A safety plan offers both physical and emotional protection for domestic violence victims, with two of them being scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Attendees will participate in open discussions and receive valuable knowledge and personalized safety plans.
This empowers domestic victims to remain safe and make well-informed choices, while ensuring the victim knows about critical resources available.
That includes legal services, shelters and emergency hotlines.
The Tuesday workshops are set to take place at the Kern River Valley Branch Library from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and at the Lamont Branch Library from 4 p.m. to 5 p.
