MINNEAPOLIS — The University of Minnesota Police Department is requesting the public's help in identifying a person accused of an assault last month.

A social post from @UMNpublicsafety shows two surveillance photos of the suspect accused of the crime that happened at approximately 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at 4th St SE and 16th Ave SE in Minneapolis.

According to the post, "surveillance footage captured the suspect striking the victim multiple times & then fleeing the scene."

Anyone with information or who may recognize the suspect is asked to call UMPD at 612-624-COPS.
