Evidence of mass killings of civilians is mounting in Sudan.
Yesterday we reported on how the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces seized control of the city of el-Fasher from the Sudanese army. And RSF soldiers had uploaded videos showing themselves carrying out summary executions.
And now the Humanitarian Research Lab at Yale University has analysed satellite images which it claims provide further evidence of atrocities, showing clusters of what appear to be human bodies and blood stains large enough to be seen by satellites, near RSF vehicles.
We spoke to the UN’s former head for Sudan, Professor Mukesh Kapila and asked him to give us an update on the latest situation on the ground.
