MARTIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Williamston’s community college is gaining nationwide attention for its educational excellence.
Aspen Institute has named Martin Community College one of its top 200 institutions for two-year colleges. This allows MCC to compete for the top $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence 2027.
According to the release, Aspen chooses its top 200 candidates based on their students’ outcome data, which includes retention, where they transferred to, and what bachelor’s degrees they earned.
