CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A program in the Show Me State is aimed at giving adults the tools to talk to teens about health and well-being.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Governor Mike Kehoe signed a proclamation designating October “Let’s Talk Month.”
As part of the Adolescent and School Health Program, there is a “ Connect with Me ” app and card set, providing conversation starters about a wide range of topics.
They include body image, mental health and relationships.
Licensed clinical therapist Erin Randol said something like this is overdue.
