WASHINGTON — Two teens have been shot in DC, Tuesday afternoon.
Police were patrolling the 300 block of 62nd Street, NE, just after 4:30 p.m., when they heard gunshots. Shortly after, they located two teens shot in an alleyway nearby.
One of the teens was unconscious and not breathing. The second teen was conscious and breathing. Information about the teens' identities has not been made public at this time.
Both were taken to a local hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.
Police say one person was detained and is being interviewed. At this time, he is not being named as a suspect in the shooting. But, police did find a firearm in his possession. No further information has been released about his identity.
