HOUSTON - A ground stop is in effect for flights arriving at Bush and Hobby airports in Houston, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) .

Houston's Hobby Airport (HOU) has grounded departures until 5:45 p.m. Tuesday due to thunderstorms.

Bush Airport (IAH) grounded departures until 6 p.m. Tuesday due to a, "tornado or hurricane," but neither has been reported in the area at this time.

A Tornado Watch is in effect for Chambers County and Liberty County until tonight. No tornadoes have been confirmed so far.

At the time of this report, both airports had a 30–60% chance of extending their ground stops.
