Public health officials have confirmed another measles case in a King County resident.
The resident was likely exposed to the virus this month while on the same flight as someone who was infected when they were traveling through Washington, according to a Public Health — Seattle & King County statement Tuesday. The county health department had announced the other person’s measles case Oct. 17, adding that the person was an Arizona resident and unvaccinated against the virus.
The King County resident is the 12th Washingtonian to become infected with measles this year, according to the county health department. Several other infections have been confirmed in people from other states who traveled through Washington.
