A deadly shooting that erupted during Lincoln University’s homecoming weekend has left one Wilmington man dead and another behind bars.

Police say Zecqueous Morgan-Thompson, of Wilmington, is facing a charge of carrying a concealed firearm without a license in connection with the Saturday night shooting that left one person dead and six others injured.

Morgan-Thompson allegedly fired a shot during the incident, according to investigators, although it remains unclear if he struck any of the victims.

His bail was increased from $25,000 to $1 million after police determined that the semi-automatic pistol he was carrying matched a spent shell casing found at the scene.

Twenty-year-old Jujuan Jeffers of Wilmington died from his injuries a few hours later.
