TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A man was rescued by the Tucson Fire Department after falling 20 feet into a large drainage canal on Monday morning.
The Tucson Fire Department responded to a medical call near 6th Avenue and 44th Street on Oct. 27. They used a tool known as the "Hot Seat" to safely lift the man out of the wash.
The man was then taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
The "Hot Seat" was introduced to the department last year and is specifically designed to assist in lifting people from hard-to-reach places.
