COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A southern Colorado deputy is heading to Las Vegas to compete in the Ms. United States National Pageant.
El Paso County Deputy Hannah Unitis is representing the state of Colorado this weekend.
The sheriff’s office said she earned the title of Ms. Colorado back in June.
They say she embodies leadership, professionalism and compassion through her work at the sheriff’s office.
“It is an honor to represent Colorado and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office on a national stage,” Deputy Unitis said. “When I began my law enforcement career, my goal was to make a difference—to help people through their hardest moments and show strength paired with empathy. Competing in Ms. United States gives me the opportunity to share this message with an even larger audience.
