NEWPORT, Tenn. (WVLT) - The CARS Tour has released its 2026 racing schedule, and it features an East Tennessee speedway for the first time.

The racing series, which features an ownership group comprised of Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Justin Marks, is set to visit Newport Speedway in Cocke County on Oct. 3, 2026 as the penultimate race of the season.

The race track reopened for the 2025 season back in April after sitting dormant for nearly a decade.

It’s not the only race the series has planned in Tennessee. It is also slated to visit Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on April 11, marking the series’ first trip to downtown Nashville since 2021.
