KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -Chilly with scattered showers moving in throughout the day.

WEDNESDAY: Widespread rain will move in early and continue off and on throughout the day. Heavy pockets of rain are possible at times. Highs will only reach the low to mid 5Os with a northeast wind at 10-20 mph. A WIND ADVISORY is in effect all day for the Smokies down to the foothills where gusts could reach 30-40 mph. An additional 0.5-1″ of rain is possible, with localised heavier amounts.

THURSDAY: Finally, we are approaching the tail-end of the wet weather with just lingering scattered showers and cloudy skies. Rain should taper off by the end of the day. Highs will remain in the 50s. Breezy with winds out of the west 10-20 mph.
