A Mumbai-based man found himself at the receiving end of the internet after he shared a sarcastic apology email about delayed salaries, a joke that didn’t land well with LinkedIn users.
In a post that went viral, entrepreneur Parth H shared what he described as a tongue-in-cheek email written “to himself,” mimicking a founder’s apology to employees for delayed salary payments.
“Yesterday, I sent a mail to my employees saying, ‘I’m sorry for the late salaries.’ But I also added, ‘It’s not delay, it’s character development.’ Because we’re not a company; we’re a spiritual startup, teaching patience through payroll,” he wrote.
He added, “Investors call it poor management. I call it mindfulness at scale.” The supposed email, written under the subject ‘Update on Salary Credit’, read:
