Shots were fired outside Punjabi singer Chani Nattan's house in Canada. Associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi have claimed responsibility for the shooting, the latest in a series of violent acts attributed to Indian gangs operating in Canada.

In a social media post, the gang said that they allegedly targeted Nattan over his growing closeness with fellow singer Sardar Khera.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

The post was shared by Goldy Dhillon, who described himself as a member of the Bishnoi gang.
