SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr might be one of the younger starting quarterbacks in college football — but you wouldn’t know it from the way he plays.

The 20-year-old freshman has quickly become a trusted leader inside the Irish locker room. Through seven games, Carr has thrown for over 1,800 yards, 14 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. His interception rate is just a little over two percent — showing how smart and careful he is with the football.
