ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The family of a woman who died in a deputy-involved crash is now suing that deputy, the Bernalillo County Sheriff, and Bernalillo County.
It was a deadly crash in August 2024 in northeast Albuquerque involving Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office Deputy Brian Lassley. Police said Lassley was pursuing the driver, Alexandria Gerard, when she hit her brakes, causing Lassley to rear-end her. Gerard's car then propelled into a cinderblock wall, killing her.
