The Delhi government is spending around 3.2 crore rupees on cloud seeding to reduce pollution. According to the agreement between the Delhi Environment Department and IIT-Kanpur, one trial costs approximately 64 lakh rupees.

Two trials were conducted on October 28, while the first test took place on October 23. All three trials were unsuccessful. According to experts, cloud seeding is successful only when there is about 50% humidity in the air; during the trials, the humidity was between 10-15%.
