A man accused of killing his partner – whose body was later found in the Brisbane River – Googled river tidal movements and 'CCTV cameras near me' before her death, a Queensland court has heard.
Jesse Wahlen Beale, 49, was denied bail in the Supreme Court in Brisbane on Wednesday, a month after he was arrested and charged with the murder of Crystal Beale.
Mr Beale is also facing two counts of misconduct with a corpse.
Ms Beale's body was found in the Brisbane River by a member of the public on February 22.
Police allege the night before, February 21, Mr Beale and Ms Beale had a family dinner at Sunnybank in Brisbane's south.
After combing through 1,000 hours of CCTV footage, police allege Ms Beale was last seen leaving a car at Ryan Street in West End later that night.
