Blame misplaced

Unifor is blaming U.S. President Donald Trump and General Motors for the production halt at Ingersoll’s Cami plant . In reality, this was due to a failed ideology imposed by our federal government.

Consumers will readily accept and buy a product that fulfils their needs and expectations. But governments cannot seem to let go of the carrot-and-stick methodology when it comes vehicle purchases they deem worthy.

If vehicles cannot be sold on their merits without massive government subsidies and mandates, there’s no market for them.

We all want jobs

It’s no surprise people are upset General Motors is halting production at its Cami plant in Ingersoll. The Oshawa plant is also in trouble. We all want jobs for Canadians.
