NEW MEXICO (KRQE) - Mostly clear skies, dry air, and some gusty east-gap winds have led to even lower temperatures across the region with some fog in eastern to northern areas. Below-freezing temperatures are confined to many more areas in the northern third of the region into western areas, while everywhere else from central areas of the Rio Grande Valley to the south is mostly ranging from the upper 20s to the 40s.

Sunshine today will still remain for most despite some low-level clouds in eastern to northern areas, but on the backside of the faster current in the jet stream, the cold front will continue to progress into Southwest Mexico, marking the coldest air of the season.
