It’s time to face your fears.
Local programming at this year’s Windsor International Film Festival dives into the quiet panic of stepping onto a dance floor and the fear of the paranormal.
The documentary Fear of Dancing turns an everyday social anxiety into something deeply personal for filmmaker and University of Windsor alumnus Michael Allcock.
“I actually had not understood how personal the film was, in that it’s actually his fear of dancing and how profound it is,” said WIFF executive director and chief programmer Vincent Georgie.
“It deals head-on with something that none of us ever thought about. What does it mean to have a paralyzing fear of dancing and be confused and uncomfortable about the act of it?
