The westbound side of SR-436 was shut down in Altamonte Springs after a crash involving a semi-truck.
Altamonte Springs police say the crash happened around 2 a.m. at SR-434, when a semi-truck was reportedly completing a U-turn at the intersection. As that was happening, police say another vehicle crashed into the side of the truck, pinning it and trapping two people in the car underneath it.
The Seminole County Fire Department responded to the scene and worked to free the two people who were trapped underneath the semi-truck.
Both of them were taken to the hospital where one person is in critical condition and the other person transported is reportedly in stable condition.
