LOUISVILLE, Ky. — No. 11 Louisville Men's Basketball had a strong finish to its preseason Tuesday night, defeating Bucknell 99-76.
The teams went back and forth during the first 15 minutes of the game, which saw six ties and eight lead changes. Trailing 36-35, Louisville ended the final 4:48 of the half on a 21-3 run, entering halftime with a 56-39 lead.
Louisville's shooting stayed hot to start the second half, starting 4-for-7 from deep to lead 69-47 with 14:44 left on the clock. A 3-pointer from junior freshman/center Sananda Fru would give the Cardinals an 86-59 edge; the 27-point lead would match UofL's largest of the night.
A dunk from sophomore forward Khani Rooths with 2:56 left capped off the team's scoring for the night, giving Louisville a 99-72 lead.
