KILGORE, Texas — National Weather Service has determined two tornadoes touched down in East Texas Tuesday night.
NWS Shreveport sent out crews Wednesday to Lindale and Kilgore areas to determine what happened during the stormy weather. Crews determined an EF-1 tornado caused significant damage in the Lindale area during severe storms Tuesday afternoon.
Northeast of Lindale, trees and homes are damaged off FM 2170, and County Roads 4126 and 4128. No injuries have been reported.
After surveying the area, NWS officials confirmed the damage found in those areas is consistent with an EF-1 tornado with estimated peak winds at 100 mph.
NWS confirmed to a CBS19 reporter that a tornado touched down in Kilgore as well, and another told CBS19's Jesus Martinez the tornado was rated an EF-1. There
