Kellie Harper has seen it before. The new Missouri women’s basketball coach has experienced losing below her league.

While Harper was the coach at Missouri State before the 2018-19 season, the Bears lost to Division-II Central Missouri in an exhibition game. That team recovered from the preseason shocker.

“Would you believe,” Harper said, “our team ended up going to the Sweet 16 that year?”

The coach has seemingly got her work cut out to repeat the feat, though she will get a second chance.
