The volleying that sometimes accompanies the two towns composing the Bristol Warren Regional School District was on display in recent weeks over construction permitting fees associated with the ongoing construction projects in both municipalities.
The Bristol Town Council, at its October 22 meeting, unanimously voted to waive their portion of the fees, after it was explained that the amount of money needed to be borrowed by the district through bonds would exceed how much would be collected in each municipality.
And for all intents and purposes, both Bristol and Warren would be taking in the fees, but paying them back at a greater total due to interest on the loans.
