CONCORD, NH (ABC22/FOX44) - Members of the state Cold Case Unit plus the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department are searching one area in New London, NH as part of an ongoing investigation into a 1978 unsolved homicide.
This announcement comes from the New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall and state Attorney General John M. Formella.
Search efforts are specifically happening in the Esther Currier Wildlife Management Area, which coincides with the 47th anniversary of Catherine “Cathy” Millican's death, says the official release. This search began this morning and is expected to continue throughout the day.
The 27-year-old's body was found in the wooded area off Route 11 on October 25, 1978. An autopsy later determined that Millican died from multiple stab wounds, officials say.
