Dionne, Jr. Triston Nunes and Emerson Amado scored as the East Providence boys' soccer team shutout the Pawtucket Co-op 2-0 in a D-1 preliminary playoff game on Tuesday night. The 11-3-5 Townies move on to face La Salle in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Providence. Nunes scored off a set-piece throw-in from Julian Monteiro at the 19-minute mark in the second half to break a scoreless tie. Amado added the second goal, heading in a beautiful cross by Damien Monteiro with 5 minutes remaining in the game. Goalkeeper Kyle Desrosiers (4 saves) came up huge, defensively, to keep the score tied in the first half.
